Technology
The tools you need, all under one roof.
There’s a lot that can happen in a golf swing and most of it occurs so quickly that it can be hard to tell exactly what went on. In addition to that, even with slower movements, telling the difference between what you feel is happening and what is actually happening can be challenging. To help you with identifying what you’re doing, both in your golf swing and during gym exercises, you can get access at Peak to a variety of technology that is tailored to capturing key points of your athletic activities.
Your Progress Is What Matters
The tools listed below are here to help you identify what you need to work on faster and make the work that you do more effective in improving your game. To support your progress, you can bring your swing instructor to Peak to use the equipment with you, have the data from your swing sent to your instructor or have a Peak Performance Coach spend a session showing you how to use the technology so that you are comfortable working with it independently.
What We Use
Golf Biodynamics Software
This system is the most accurate in the world at tracking 3D movement and is used during the initial evaluation for all Peak athletes. It consists of high speed tracking electromagnetic sensors that give exact data on the location and speed of dozens of points throughout your body. The areas that are most relevant to most golfers are the hips, torso, lead arm and club head. With the information it provides, we are able to see precisely where you are gaining and losing power, may be at risk for injury, what the reasons are for weaknesses in your game and where your biggest opportunities for improve your swing efficiency are.
K-Vest Biofeedback System
The K-Veset system is a portable feedback tool made of a tablet computer and two to four bluetooth sensors, depending on what it is being used for. It gives you a live portrayal of how much you are bending or twisting and gives visual and auditory signals when you are practicing a movement and end up outside of a prescribed range of motion.
Output Sports Sensors
Designed for use in the gym, this speed and power output sensor can be quickly attached to different parts of the body and will give readings of how fast or far you have moved during exercises. It is a great way to get easy to understand measurements for exercises such as medball throws, jumps and rotational movements. You can also pair the sensors we have in the gym directly with your phone for increased ease of use.
HackMotion Golf Wrist Sensor
HackMotion measures what is happening with your wrists at address, the top of the backswing and at impact. It can be set to give you auditory feedback if your wrists move out of ranges based on data from Tour Professionals or you can create your own custom ranges to train through. Additionally, HackMotion provides personalized swing drills for your practice sessions.
Blast Golf Club Sensor
Blast Golf is a small, wireless sensor that attaches to any of your clubs and captures data on everything from tempo and loft change at impact while you’re putting to hand speed and attack angle on full shots. The app that pairs with it can also be used to take video of your swings and analyze them.
Uneekor Eye XO
The three simulator bays in the main gym area use Uneekor Eye XO systems. With no lag between when you hit the ball and when your shot appears on the screen, plus up to 24 different statistics measured on each swing, these are great options for measuring what is happening with the ball for every club in your bag.
Foresight Sports GCHawk
In our evaluation bay, you will use a ForeSight GCHawk simulator, which gives you reports on an array of information including clubhead speed, ball speed, spin rates and where impact was made on the clubface.
